  • Where did you grow up? I was born in San Jose, CA, but grew up mostly in Livermore, CA and Sacramento, CA.
  • How did you become a part of JC? My husband and I started attending JC in January of 2011. We found the church online, and since we had just moved to the area, we were "church shopping". We liked JC's core values and thought that we'd give it a try. We instantly loved it and walked out of our first service saying to each other: "This is definitely our new church". I have only worked for the church since April 2011 and am looking forward to the great things that the Lord has in store for me here at JC.
  • Favorite book(s)? I read quite a variety of books--at the moment I'm working on a certification of study in Health and Wellness Coaching, so books on health are my primary focus. Other than that, I enjoy reading suspense novels, non-fiction books about life, spirituality, and biographies.
  • What’s on your iPod? My Ipod collection has a lot of podcasts on it from various health sites, a lot of relaxing/ambience music like Bonobo, and some great beats from groups like Daft Punk and Justice; also a TON of Dave Matthews Band and classic rock. And of course a good selection of Christian music :)
  • Favorite vacation spot? My favorite vacation spot varies. I love backpacking around foreign cities and exploring all the different cultures and cuisines. But I also appreciate a relaxing vaca where I have my toes in the sand with the occasional scuba trip! I'll say my favorite vaca spot is anywhere with my family or husband.
  • Favorite food(s)? I'm a huge foodie--I love cooking and trying new recipes. I stick mostly to whole, real foods--unprocessed and nourishing. Favorite meal is probably a big juicy hamburger. Second favorite is Spanish tapas.
  • Favorite pastime(s)? In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing, playing sports (tennis, softball, etc), hiking, being outside, having friends over, going to the beach or a lake, and laughing (well, I do that in my non-spare time, too).
  • Favorite TV show? My favorite TV shows are anything about traveling or exploring other cultures such as Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations. I also like Boardwalk Empire, Cash Cab, Jeopardy, and of course Seinfeld.
  • What is one unique fact about yourself? One unique fact about me is that I used to sell Official Irish Dirt in Ireland.
  • If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? If I could travel anywhere in the world, I'd LOVE to go down to the Australia and New Zealand area and spend as much time as I can exploring both above ground and below water (scuba diving).
